Thursday, March 1 - Senior Project Education Research - "Where will you be next September?"
- Research at least two institutions of higher education where you can earn certification to pursue your chosen career.
- If your chosen career requires a four-year degree (bachelor's degree), you will choose two schools where you can earn that degree.
- If you choose to attend a community college first, you must compare how credits from the community college will transfer to both four-year universities.
- Research the ability to transfer credits from your chosen school to other schools.
- Compare the individual credit hour cost and the total cost for each educational path.
- Research qualifications for acceptance into the program/schools you've chosen and provide a personal inventory regarding qualifications. If you have already gained acceptance into these schools, print out a copy of your acceptance letter. If you have not gained acceptance, comment on your plans to do so.
- Print out a complete list of courses needed to earn the certification/degree from the schools you have researched.
- If your career path includes attending graduate school (law school, medical school, etc) include a print out of the graduate school acceptance requirements and the course work required to earn the graduate degree. For example, what does it take to gain entrance into medical school?
- If your career path includes the military, research the jobs within your branch and the training/testing required to earn that job.
Friday, March 2 - Continue education research. Print out and analyze all your research before you start to write the paper. A two page paper analyzing your educational options is due Wednesday, March 7. The paper should not include direct quotes from sources, but should be a narrative synopsis of your research, a comparison of your options, and an outline of your planned path.
